President’s Republic Day Eve Call: Peace, Power and Progress

President Droupadi Murmu declared India a steadfast messenger of peace in a conflict-ridden world during her address to the nation on the eve of the 77th Republic Day. Rooted in the country’s ancient civilizational values, she emphasized that India always prays for universal harmony, viewing global peace as essential for humanity’s future. This vision stands out amid rising worldwide tensions.

Murmu balanced this peaceful ethos with India’s strong defense capabilities. She highlighted Operation Sindoor, a targeted strike that destroyed terrorist infrastructure across the border, underscoring the nation’s firm stance against threats. This blend of diplomacy and strength cements India’s role as a global stabilizer.

Central to her message was “nari shakti” – the power of women – pivotal for realizing Viksit Bharat by 2047. From rural self-help groups to pioneers in space and defense, women are propelling India forward. Their multifaceted roles ensure inclusive development and national resilience.

India’s digital prowess also took center stage. The country now handles over half of global digital transactions, boosting mass involvement in economic campaigns. Murmu called on local bodies to lead reforms, embracing Indian languages and moving beyond colonial influences for true self-reliance.

As Republic Day approaches, her words rally the nation toward peace, progress, and leadership on the world stage.
