CJP Backs INDIA Bloc’s November 1 Rally, Demands Fair Elections

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has extended support to the INDIA bloc’s November 1 rallyat Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi. The party is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, citing concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

    Why CJP Supports the Rally

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announced the party’s support on social media with the message: “Gyanu must go.” He said the CJP would stand with organisations working for free and fair elections in India.

The party argues that democracy works only when citizens choose their government. According to CJP, the SIR process raises fears that eligible voters could be removed from voter lists, weakening public trust in the electoral system.

    Constitutional and Ambedkar Legacy

CJP linked its position to the Indian Constitution and the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. It said universal adult franchise is a foundation of Indian democracy and that every eligible citizen must have an equal right to vote.

The party added that the Election Commission’s duty is to protect voting rights, not create obstacles for voters. It called for the Commission’s independence and credibility to be restored.

    Demand for CEC’s Resignation

CJP said Gyanesh Kumar has lost the trust required to oversee free and fair elections. It believes his resignation is necessary to restore confidence in the Election Commission and protect democratic principles.

The party also used the slogans “Jai Bhim” and “Jai Hind”, underlining its appeal to constitutional values and national unity.

    INDIA Bloc’s November 1 Protest

The INDIA bloc’s rally is part of its wider campaign against alleged “vote chori” and irregularities in the electoral process. Opposition parties plan to gather at Ramlila Maidan as part of a “Dilli Chalo” mobilisation.

CJP has not confirmed whether its leaders will share the stage with INDIA bloc leaders. However, it has clearly stated that it supports all groups fighting to safeguard citizens’ voting rights and ensure transparent elections.

The development adds momentum to the opposition’s campaign and highlights growing concern over voter-list revisions, electoral accountability, and the protection of democratic rights in India.
