The ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar took a fresh turn on Thursday as CJP rejected the Centre’s offer for talks at BJP president J.P. Nadda’s residence or office. The group said any discussion should happen at Jantar Mantar or another neutral place.
CJP leaders said they do not want negotiations in a setting that appears politically one-sided. According to the group, a fair dialogue can only happen if both sides meet on neutral ground. The protest movement has now gained more attention after the group announced a nationwide protest for July 24.

CJP’s latest stand comes after repeated invitations from the Centre for talks. The group has maintained that its protest will continue until its demands are addressed properly. It has also said that the issue is not limited to Delhi and that people across the country should join the protest on Friday.
