At its core, America-India Connect introduces new subsea cable routes linking India to Singapore, South Africa, Australia, and the US. A key highlight is a major gateway in Vizag, southern India, enhancing data flow across four continents. This setup includes three fresh subsea paths and four fiber-optic links, targeting better southern hemisphere resilience. Pichai stressed this counters AI competition by ensuring reliable, high-speed networks for data-intensive AI applications.

The plan establishes a full-stack AI hub in Vizag, tailored for sectors like healthcare, education, and manufacturing. Partnerships, such as with AIIMS for AI-driven patient symptom analysis, will drive real-world impact.
