8 Dead in Car Blast Outside Red Fort Metro Station, Delhi Police Respond

    A powerful explosion erupted near the Red Fort Metro Station entrance in Delhi on November 10, 2025, claiming at least eight lives and leaving several others injured. The blast occurred in the evening close to Gate No. 1 of the Lal Quila metro station, a busy area frequented by commuters and tourists.​

    According to initial police reports, the explosion involved a parked car, which caught fire and rapidly spread to multiple vehicles nearby. Emergency services responded swiftly, and affected individuals were taken to LNJP Hospital for treatment. The tragedy has triggered a citywide security alert, with extra police presence and increased vigilance at major transportation hubs.​

    The cause of the explosion is under investigation, and authorities have not ruled out any possibilities. This incident comes soon after the Delhi police cracked down on a suspected terror module, although officials are yet to confirm any direct links between the arrest and the Red Fort blast.​

The National Security Guard (NSG) and crime branch have been deployed to conduct forensic tests and gather forensic evidence.
