India has taken another big step in its defence program by successfully test-firing the Agni-5 ballistic missile on August 20, 2025, from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. The test was carried out by the Strategic Forces Command, with full validation of all technical and operational parameters.
The Agni-5 missile is developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It is one of the country’s most significant missiles, with a range of over 5,000km. Designed to carry nuclear warheads, Agni-5 uses advanced technologies in guidance, navigation, warhead design, and propulsion, making it a top choice for India’s military.
